Job summary

seek.com.au is seeking an Electronics/MECH technician to conduct fault finding at component level and perform software-based upgrades to ensure devices in the network remain operational.

The role requires reading blueprints, repairing faulty units, performing preventative maintenance, and maintaining records in a CMMS. Employment is fixed-term, with consideration for contractor arrangements, and a National Police Check may be required.

Qualifications

• ITSM system knowledge and understanding.
• Electrical, electronic and mechanical schematics understanding.
• Ability to perform remedial and preventative maintenance on customer assets.
• Experience in fault-finding to component level.
• Experience handling computers and software applications.
• Strong IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and troubleshoot electronic and electro-mechanical equipment using test programs and equipment.
• Interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Install, verify and troubleshoot software on testing equipment and customer devices per SRN.
• Read blueprints and diagrams to determine repair methods.
• Operate diagnostic systems to isolate faults to component level.
• Repair faulty units by replacing defective components and retesting.
• Rework printed circuit boards (SMT and through-hole) and perform maintenance of major modules.
• Maintain records in the CMMS and report issues and improvements.
• Set up hardware and install software and drivers and maintain peripherals.
