Job summary

City of Ryde invites an experienced Compliance Ranger to join our dynamic team. You will deliver regulatory and environmental enforcement services, respond to community concerns, investigate breaches, gather evidence, and educate the public.

This role includes on-call duties, weekend work on a rotating roster, a leaseback vehicle, and allowances. Essential qualifications include NSW Driver Licence and Higher School Certificate, withDesirable credentials in Regulatory Services.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation in day-to-day situations.
• Professional, calm and approachable manner when dealing with the public.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision.
• Experience handling and transporting dogs safely.
• High level of computer literacy and ability to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver regulatory and environmental enforcement services to ensure compliance with Local/State legislation.
• Respond to community concerns, investigate breaches, gather evidence, and educate the public.
• Undertake enforcement actions when required across issues like illegal dumping, littering, erosion control, water pollution and more.
