Description du poste

Take ownership of regulatory, safety and operational compliance across a national network

20th October, 2026

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of compliance operations across a multi-site business, combining regulatory affairs, workplace safety, dangerous goods compliance and continuous improvement.

About Crop Smart

Crop Smart is an established Australian agricultural business committed to providing farmers with quality crop protection products, competitive pricing and trusted service.

With a network of company-owned and agency-operated stores across South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales, Crop Smart is focused on delivering excellence, building strong partnerships and continually improving the way it operates.

About the Role

As our Compliance Operations Specialist you take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of regulatory and operational compliance across the business. The role brings together product regulatory compliance and store network safety requirements, offering plenty of variety, autonomy and the opportunity to make a genuine difference.

You’ll work closely with internal teams, external regulators, consultants and service providers to ensure compliance obligations are met, risks are managed and processes run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate regulatory compliance for Crop Smart's Smart Brand product portfolio, including APVMA reporting, registrations, renewals and variations.
  • Maintain accurate compliance documentation, including product labels, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), registers and reporting records.
  • Oversee WHS/OH&S, dangerous goods and AgSafe compliance across the store network.
  • Coordinate audits, accreditations, corrective actions and ongoing compliance requirements.
  • Liaise with government departments, regulatory bodies, external consultants and third-party providers.
  • Provide practical compliance guidance, support and remote training to store teams.
  • Develop, document and improve compliance procedures, systems and reporting processes.
  • Monitor compliance deadlines, proactively identify risks and ensure issues are resolved within required timeframes.
About You

You will be someone who thrives on detail, enjoys working with complex information and has the confidence to take ownership of compliance activities. You'll bring strong critical thinking, excellent organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

Ideally, you'll offer:
  • Experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, workplace safety, dangerous goods or a related field.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to interpret and manage complex technical or regulatory information.
  • Strong administration, documentation and reporting skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem‑solving, risk identification and process improvement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including confidence liaising with regulatory authorities.
  • The ability to coordinate multiple projects, competing deadlines and stakeholders across different locations.
  • Strong systems capability and an interest in technology, automation and continuous improvement.
  • The initiative and accountability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
  • Experience with APVMA regulations, agricultural chemicals or chemical management is highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of dangerous goods legislation, WHS/OH&S or AgSafe accreditation is advantageous.
Why Join Crop Smart?
  • Flexible working arrangements - Remote, hybrid or office-based opportunities, with Adelaide or Sydney preferred.
  • Ownership and autonomy - Take responsibility for a diverse compliance function and influence how it operates.
  • Make a real impact - Help strengthen compliance practices, improve processes and support a growing national store network.
  • Innovation and improvement - Work alongside the systems team to introduce smarter, more efficient ways of working.
  • Supportive environment - Work with experienced colleagues, with training and support to build your knowledge.
If you’re a motivated compliance professional who enjoys variety, responsibility and finding better ways of doing things, we'd love to hear from you!

Applicants are required to currently be in Australia with full permanent working rights to be considered.
