Randstad partners with a global leader to recruit a Waste Compliance Officer for a 6-month contract in Sydney, NSW.

You will walk designated routes, inspect kerbside bins for contamination, capture evidence, and ensure adherence to HSE guidelines while supporting contamination management initiatives and recycling standards across residential and commercial collections.

• Able to walk long distances outdoors and handle varying weather conditions.
• Strong ability to distinguish recyclable vs non-recyclable materials.
• Comfortable using mobile apps/tablets to capture photos and submit logs.

Responsabilidades

• Walk designated collection routes to visually inspect kerbside bins for contaminated or non-compliant materials prior to emptying.
• Apply official non-collection / educational stickers to contaminated bins and move non-compliant bins off the kerb to prevent contamination of recycling streams.
• Capture clear photographic evidence of contaminated bin contents using a mobile device or tablet and record location/issue details.
• Adhere to company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols when working near active roadways and equipment.

Randstad has partnered with a global leader in ecological transformation and sustainable resource management, to recruit a reliable and detail-oriented Waste Compliance Officer.

This is a 6-month contract designed to support key local waste auditing and contamination management initiatives. You will work on the frontline to help improve community recycling standards and protect resource streams across residential and commercial collection routes.

Key Responsibilities

• Walk designated collection routes to visually inspect kerbside bins for contaminated or non-compliant materials prior to emptying.

• Contamination Actions:

  • Apply official non-collection / educational stickers to contaminated bins.

  • Safely move non-compliant bins off the kerb to prevent collection trucks from loading contaminated waste into recycling streams.

• Capture clear photographic evidence of contaminated bin contents using a mobile device or handheld tablet and record location/issue details.

• Adhere strictly to company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols when working near active roadways and equipment.

What We Are Looking For

• Ability to walk long distances outdoors, bend, and lift bin lids in varying weather conditions.

• Ability to quickly distinguish between recyclable and non-recyclable materials (e.g., soft plastics, general waste, construction debris).

• Comfortable using mobile phone apps/tablets to capture photos and submit basic operational logs.

• Early morning availability and a strong work ethic to consistently follow designated routes.

• Valid Driver's Licence (clean driving history preferred).
