Job summary

Cuscal is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join our Group Risk & Compliance team. You will oversee regulatory obligation management, assurance, change and product compliance across our payments business, translating complex obligations into practical guidance for stakeholders.

You’ll drive the ongoing management of the compliance framework and risk system, maintain key registers and reporting, and lead policy development and training programs while collaborating across the

Qualifications

• Extensive compliance or regulatory experience within the Australian financial services or payment services industry.
• Ability to interpret and manage financial service obligations.
• Strong understanding of compliance management principles, structures and processes.
• Experience designing and implementing effective compliance management frameworks.
• Knowledge of APRA standards and requirements for operating as an ADI.
• Knowledge of AML/CTF legislation, the Privacy Act and AFSL requirements.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly with regulatory obligations and changes.
• Ability to work autonomously and exercise sound judgement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regulatory obligation management, assurance and change across Cuscal's operations.
• Maintain key compliance registers, monitoring plans, training plans and consolidated reporting.
• Develop and review compliance policies, standards and guidance.
• Perform compliance reviews and control assurance to assess regulatory obligations.
• Monitor emerging regulatory and legislative change and assess impacts.
• Provide updates to stakeholders on APRA, ASIC, AUSTRAC, OAIC and DIA requirements.
• Support regulatory certifications, reporting and engagement.
• Oversee the risk and compliance training calendar and design training programs.
• Support audit activities and respond to external information requests.
• Provide regular and ad hoc compliance reporting and analysis to management.
