Job summary
Spinal Life Australia is seeking an experienced Personal Support Worker to join our Brisbane team. You will provide person-centred, high-quality care to clients with complex needs, including mobility assistance, hygiene support, and medication aid as required.
The role offers a casual roster with training and ongoing development. Ideal candidates are nursing students or experienced workers with a driver’s licence, a reliable vehicle, and current clear screens (WWCC, NDIS).
Qualifications
- Completed relevant qualification, or working towards a relevant qualification.
- Current Working with Children and NDIS Worker Screening Card, or willingness to obtain.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
- Smartphone device required.
- NDIS Worker Orientation module completed, or willingness to obtain.
Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred, high-quality care to clients with complex needs.
- Monitor health conditions and assist with medications.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using hoists, slide boards, and slide sheets.
- Provide care such as ventilation support, PEG feeding, stoma care where required.
