Beacon Legal in Sydney is seeking a Competition & Consumer Lawyer with ~2–4 years PQE to join a collaborative in-house team. Develop technical expertise and commercial decision-making while working alongside senior lawyers in a role offering mentorship and broad advisory exposure.

You will handle competition and consumer matters, regulatory compliance, and advisory work, with a hybrid setup blending Sydney office time and remote work to support business needs and career development.

Competenze

• Admitted as a solicitor in Australia.
• Approximately 2-4 years' PQE, ideally gained in competition, consumer or regulatory law.
• Experience from a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal team.
• Sound knowledge of the Competition and Consumer Act and Australian Consumer Law.
• Strong legal drafting, analytical and advisory skills.
• A commercial mindset and the ability to provide practical, business-focused advice.
• Confidence communicating with stakeholders at different levels of seniority.
• A collaborative approach, sound judgment and a willingness to learn.
• Experience dealing with competition or consumer regulators would be advantageous.

Mansioni

• Provide legal advice on competition and consumer law matters, including the Competition and Consumer Act and Australian Consumer Law.
• Advise on regulatory compliance, commercial arrangements and competition risks.
• Support regulatory investigations, disputes and engagement with regulators.
• Assist with contentious and non-contentious competition and consumer matters.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to provide practical, commercially focused advice.
• Monitor relevant legislative and regulatory developments; and
• Work alongside senior lawyers and external counsel on complex legal matters.
