Job summary

Woolworths Group is seeking an ambitious Competition and Consumer Lawyer to join our in-house Legal team in Sydney. You will manage a range of competition and consumer law advisory matters in a fast-paced, commercial environment.

Reporting to the Senior Lawyer - Competition and Consumer, you will provide strategic, risk-balanced advice across Woolworths Group operations, build relationships with internal stakeholders and collaborate with external counsel when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws with 2–4 years PQE in competition & regulatory work.
• Experience applying the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 and Australian Consumer Law.
• Ability to prioritise competing demands and manage a large volume of diverse files and external legal services.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with internal and external parties.
• Experience interfacing with regulators such as the ACCC is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide competition and consumer law advice across Woolworths Group.
• Support Group Counsel and Senior Lawyer in advisory matters.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enable efficient delivery.
• Liaise with regulators and external counsel as required.
• Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to team capability.
