Job summary

Sonder Consultants in Melbourne is seeking a senior associate for its market-leading Competition/Antitrust practice. You will advise major corporates and financial institutions on complex competition matters, including merger control, investigations, and regulatory enforcement, working with partners on high-profile mandates.

Qualifications

• 5 years' PQE gained at a leading Australian, UK or international law firm.
• Experience advising on competition and antitrust matters, including merger control, investigations, regulatory matters and/or competition litigation.
• Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills.
• Experience managing complex matters and coordinating multiple workstreams with significant client responsibility.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to provide clear, practical advice on competition issues.
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams on sophisticated matters.

Working as part of a highly regarded competition team, you'll advise major corporates, financial institutions and other sophisticated clients on a broad range of complex competition and regulatory matters. The role offers exposure to merger control, competition investigations, regulatory enforcement and contentious matters, with the opportunity to work closely with experienced partners on high-profile, business-critical mandates.

Requirements

• 5 years' PQE gained at a leading Australian, UK or international law firm.
• Experience advising on competition and antitrust matters, including merger control, investigations, regulatory matters and/or competition litigation.
• Strong technical ability with excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills.
• Experience managing complex matters, coordinating multiple workstreams and taking significant responsibility for client relationships.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to provide clear, practical advice on complex competition issues.
• Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams on sophisticated matters.
