Job summary

AWQLD Animal Welfare League Queensland is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist for the Gold Coast Community Vet Clinic on a casual basis. You will deliver excellent customer service to clients and their animals while supporting the veterinary team with scheduling, invoicing, and records management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in administrative or reception roles within a high-volume customer service environment.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office and IT systems skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls with professionalism and empathy.
• Coordinate appointment scheduling and manage face-to-face client interactions.
• Facilitate patient admissions and discharges.
• Prepare invoices, process payments, and reconcile daily registers.
• Maintain client and patient records and assist with admin duties.
• Restock and manage merchandise in waiting area.
• Open/close reception and keep the area welcoming.
• Resolve client enquiries per AWLQ policies.
• Comply with WHS and infection control standards.
