Job summary

Claro Disability Services in Victoria is hiring part‑time disability support workers to assist with complex needs and daily activities. You’ll work with clients who require mobility and medical supports and help them engage in community activities.

You’ll be part of a team coordinating with families and health professionals, providing care with empathy and respect. Sleepover shifts are available, with opportunities for additional shifts with community clients.

Qualifications

• Must be warm, patient and genuinely caring.
• Interest or experience in complex care and health nuances.
• Great communicator who reads cues and adapts to styles.
• Reliable, professional, and good at teamwork.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing needs and shifts.
• Experience with medication administration and manual handling is essential.
• Experience with behaviours, acquired brain injury, or dysphagia is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Chat with client and family to understand goals and routines.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks and devices as per plan.
• Monitor changes in health, follow plans, liaise with care team.
• Support social time and community participation aligned to interests.
• Encourage autonomy, respect consent, and promote independence.
• Respect cultural backgrounds, beliefs and ways of being.
