Job summary

Claro Disability Services in Victoria is looking for caring support workers to assist clients with complex needs in daily living and community activities. You’ll provide person-centred care, assist with mobility, daily tasks, and medical supports, while working closely with families and medical professionals.

Shifts include sleepover support, are flexible, and offer the chance to develop meaningful relationships and make a real impact in clients’ independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Experience with medication administration, manual handling and mental health are essential.
• Experience with behaviours, acquired brain injury and dysphagia highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Chat with the client and family to identify goals and routines.
• Support mobility, transfers, positioning and daily tasks per the plan.
• Monitor medical plans and liaise with the care team as needs change.
• Facilitate social time and community access aligned with interests.
• Support decision-making and promote independence where possible.
• Respect cultural backgrounds and individual values in all care.
