Job summary

McAuley College in Beaudesert (Beaudesert, QLD) is seeking a compassionate School Officer (Inclusive Education) to support a student with learning, wellbeing and participation. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.

Qualifications

• Ability to deliver teaching programs with learning support.
• Ability to prepare learning activities and organise resources.
• Organisational skills to maintain safety and upkeep of materials.
• Experience supervising small groups or individual students with diverse needs.
• Enrolment in Certificate III in Education Support would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to a student with additional needs, including personal care.
• Assist with manual handling and safe transfer of students.
• Plan, prepare and deliver effective learning and teaching programs, using technology.
• Monitor progress and identify learning areas for evidence-based interventions.
• Collaborate with school specialists to coordinate intervention groups.
• Document observation notes, intervention programs and prepare classroom materials.
