Job summary

QML Pathology in Emerald is seeking a Pathology Collector to join a supportive team delivering high-quality care to patients. The role involves collecting blood and other samples, ensuring accurate handling and friendly patient experiences, with training provided through a 6-week paid program.

The position is permanent part-time (20 hours/week) with Monday to Friday hours (8.30am–12.30pm), contributing to efficient daily operations at the collection site.

Qualifications

• Experience in pathology collection is desirable but not essential.
• Certificate III in Pathology Collection is desirable but not essential.
• Background in healthcare or strong customer-facing experience is valued.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and other samples with care, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Provide a welcoming, calm and professional experience for patients.
• Prepare and package specimens for transport in line with procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and follow required processes.
• Support smooth daily operations across the collection site.
