Job summary

QML Pathology is seeking a Pathology Collector in Caloundra to join our team delivering high-quality patient care. You will collect blood and other samples, ensuring a welcoming, professional experience for patients, and you will handle specimens and records accurately to support timely diagnosis and care.

The role suits individuals who care for others, with training provided. Prior pathology collection experience is preferred but not essential, and WWCC immunisation requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in pathology collection is desirable but not essential
• Certificate III in Pathology Collection is desirable but not essential
• A background in healthcare (e.g. aged care, disability, nursing) or strong customer-facing experience

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and other samples with care, accuracy and attention to detail
• Provide a welcoming, calm and professional experience for patients
• Prepare and package specimens for transport in line with procedures
• Maintain accurate records and follow required processes
• Support smooth daily operations across the collection site
