Job summary

MLHD is seeking an Assistant in Nursing in Hillston to support Registered and Enrolled Nurses in acute and aged care settings. You will assist patients with daily activities, order supplies and help prepare rooms, working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, high-quality care.

The role offers permanent full-time, part-time or casual opportunities, with up to 38 hours per week, relocation considerations, and comprehensive leave and superannuation arrangements.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Acute Care) or one year of an undergraduate Registered Nursing or Midwifery degree.
• Caring, compassionate and patient-focused approach to supporting people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to relate to patients, families and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to accurate clinical documentation and delivering safe, high-quality care.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (toileting, bathing, mobility).
• Support nursing team by preparing rooms, gathering equipment and assisting with positioning and transfers.
• Provide allocated nursing care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Document patient care, observations and responses in clinical records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care.
