Job summary

About the role

As an Assistant in Nursing (AIN), you will work as part of a supportive healthcare team, assisting Registered and Enrolled Nurses to deliver high-quality, person-centred care in acute and aged care settings. Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including toileting, bathing, showering, mobility and personal care.
  • Support the nursing team by preparing patient rooms, gathering equipment and assisting with patient positioning and transfers.
  • Provide allocated nursing care activities under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse.
  • Document patient care, observations and responses accurately in clinical records and progress notes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure safe, compassionate and high-quality care is delivered to patients
What We're Looking For
  • Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Acute Care) or one year completion of Undergraduate?Registered Nursing or Midwifery degree.
  • Demonstrate a caring, compassionate and patient-focused approach to supporting people with their healthcare needs.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with patients, families and colleagues.
  • Work effectively both independently under the direction of a Registered Nurse and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Be committed to maintaining accurate clinical documentation and delivering safe, high-quality care.
  • Adapt well to a fast-paced healthcare environment while demonstrating professionalism, accountability and a willingness to learn.
