Job summary

Silverchain is seeking a part-time Home Care Worker in Canberra North, ACT. You will support older clients to maintain independence through home care, personal care and practical tasks.

The role requires at least 3 months in a similar role and a valid Australian driver’s licence with an insured vehicle. Benefits include award rate of 34.42 AUD per hour plus Super and paid travel, with an employee benefits program and salary packaging options.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months experience in a similar professional role.
• Valid Australian Driver's Licence.
• Own insured, roadworthy vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide general housekeeping, bed making, cleaning and laundry.
• Deliver personal care including mobility assistance and help with medications.
• Support clients with meals, shopping and transport to appointments or activities.
• Offer social and emotional support and liaise with families and carers.
