Job summary

Silverchain is seeking a Home Care Worker in the Ngunnawal area and surrounding suburbs to support older community members in maintaining independence at home. The role involves practical home care tasks, transport to activities and social support, with a strong emphasis on flexibility and positive client relationships.

You will need a valid Australian driver's licence, your own insured vehicle and 3–6 months' experience in a similar role.

Qualifications

• A valid Australian Driver's Licence and your own insured, roadworthy vehicle.
• 3–6 months previous experience in a similar aged/Community care role.

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping, making beds, cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors.
• Washing, folding and ironing laundry; meal preparation and grocery shopping.
• Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities.
• Support the family carer by giving them a break or time to do other things.
