Job summary

Silverchain Group is hiring a Care Worker to support older Australians in Port Macquarie and surrounding areas. The role involves home help tasks and personal care to promote independence and wellbeing.

We offer guaranteed hours, an award rate of $34.42 per hour plus Super and paid kilometres, plus a benefits program and opportunities for further qualifications. A valid Australian driver’s licence and insured vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 months experience in a similar professional role.
• Experience in personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications.
• Own insured, roadworthy vehicle and Australian driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide home help services: housekeeping, making beds, cleaning, laundry, meal prep and grocery shopping.
• Deliver personal care: assist with getting clients out of bed, showering and dressing, administering medications, mobility and therapy support, high care needs including dementia.
• Provide social and emotional support and transport to activities or appointments; support family carers.
