Job summary
Uniting AgeWell is expanding its Home Care team in Mansfield and surrounding communities. As a Home Care Worker, you will travel between clients' homes providing personalised support that enables older people to maintain independence, wellbeing and connection to their community.
These are part-time positions with guaranteed contracted hours of 20 hours per fortnight. Successful candidates must have daytime availability across at least three weekdays per week to meet client rostering requirements.
Qualifications
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (or equivalent)
- Experience in home care or aged care desirable
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Commitment to BEST philosophy Believe, Excel, Support and Trust
- Australian working rights required
Responsibilities
- Providing personal care support as needed
- Assisting with domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry and tidying
- Helping clients maintain independence and quality of life
- Monitoring client wellbeing and reporting concerns
- Respecting cultural, spiritual and individual needs of clients
- Building positive relationships with clients and their families
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and the care team
