Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a compassionate Domestic Assistant to support clients staying at home in Cairns. You will perform cleaning, shopping support and in-home respite services with client-centred care and discretion.

This casual role offers flexible hours and the chance to make a meaningful impact in the community. Ideal candidates will have the ability to work independently, strong time management and excellent communication with clients and families, plus a current NDIS check and First Aid

Qualifications

• Evidence of NDIS Screening Check is required.
• Current Driver’s license with vehicle, registration and insurance preferred.
• First Aid Certificate is required.
• Ability to work without direct supervision is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning, unescorted shopping and in-home respite services.
• Maintain client confidentiality and accurate documentation.
• Communicate clearly with clients and families.
• Work with local office team to deliver care.
