Responsibilities

Support the participant to access and participate in the community through meaningful activities.
Assist with household tasks while promoting independence and dignity.
Build a positive, respectful, and trusting relationship with the participant.
Provide companionship, encouragement, and practical support.
Take a person-centred approach and respect the participant’s preferences and choices.
Support the participant in developing confidence, independence, and daily living skills.
Maintain progress notes following each support shift.
Respect the participant’s individuality and lived experience.
