Job summary

Purple Patch Consulting is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to assist NDIS participants living independently in their own homes. You will provide essential in-home support, building daily living skills and offering companionship while maintaining dignity and choice.

The role requires non-negotiables such as a Certificate III in Community Services, current checks, a driver’s licence, and a reliable smartphone.

Qualifications

• Previous paid experience as a Disability Support Worker.
• Certificate III in Community Services or equivalent qualification.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• First Aid with CPR.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check for paid employment.
• Working with Children Check for paid employment.
• National Police Check within last 6 months.
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
• Reliable smartphone with mobile data.

Responsibilities

• Support NDIS participants living independently in their own homes.
• Assist with domestic tasks and meal preparation.
• Provide medication prompting and ensure safety.
• Support transportation and community access.
• Assist with personal hygiene and personal care.
• Build daily living skills and independence.
• Offer social, emotional support and companionship.
• Help participants engage in community activities.
