Job summary

Healthscope Independence Services (HIS) in Geelong is seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality care in our SIL settings under the NDIS.

You will assist with daily living, personal care, and community activities, including overnight sleepovers, ensuring thorough documentation and adherence to policies.

Applicants should have Certificate IV in Disability or related qualification and at least 1 year of experience; flexibility across shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Disability, Community Services, or related qualification.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in disability or healthcare services.
• Strong communication, written, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care support in line with individual support plans.
• Ability to complete overnight sleepover shifts and assist with morning routines and handovers.
• Assist participants with daily living activities including meal preparation and feeding.
• Assist with household tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
• Accompany and support clients in community-based activities and appointments.
• Ensure documentation (daily notes, progress reports) is thorough and up to date.
• Experience with behaviours of concern and adherence to policies including medication administration.
