Job summary

Maxlife Care Pty on the Central Coast, NSW is seeking a warm Disability Support Worker to assist a lady in her 50s living with Progressive MS and Type 2 Diabetes.

You will provide personal care, prompting, cognitive support, insulin administration, glucose monitoring, diabetic meal planning, and 1:1 community access and transport, with de-escalation and precise shift notes.

The role requires adherence to NDIS Practice Standards and a compassionate approach to delivering person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability support and personal care.
• Comfort working with MS and Type 2 diabetes.
• Ability to monitor glucose and assist with insulin administration.
• Familiarity with NDIS Practice Standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and prompting as required.
• Cognitively support and de-escalate when needed.
• Administer insulin and monitor glucose levels.
• Plan diabetic meals and promote healthy choices.
• Enable 1:1 community access and transport.
• Maintain accurate shift notes in line with policy.
