Job summary

MyLink Social Work & Counselling Services on the Gold Coast is seeking compassionate Disability Support Workers across the region. You will provide person-centred care, assist with daily living, help clients access community activities and support them toward their NDIS goals.

The role involves emotional and practical support, medication administration where trained, and maintaining accurate case notes using ShiftCare.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Disability/Ageing or higher is required or highly regarded.
• NDIS Worker Screening clearance, or evidence that an application is in progress.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Current Queensland P2 or Open Driver Licence.
• Access to a reliable, registered vehicle suitable for client transport; Smartphone with internet access.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support, including personal care, hygiene, grooming, hoist use and catheter care where required.
• Assist with daily living and household activities.
• Support clients to access the community, attend appointments and work towards their NDIS goals.
• Provide respectful emotional and practical support to clients.
• Administer medication where appropriately trained and authorised.
• Build positive, professional and trusting relationships with clients.
• Complete accurate case notes and reports using online systems such as ShiftCare.
