Job summary

Kirinari Community Services is seeking a Disability Support Worker to provide one-to-one respite support for a child in a dedicated home environment. We match people with children to create meaningful relationships and better outcomes, offering training and ongoing development.

Essential requirements include NSW WWCC, NDIS screening, a valid driver license, and eligibility to work in Australia. Weekend and overnight availability is preferred, with paid buddy shifts and onboarding support to help

Qualifications

• Current NSW Working With Children Check.
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
• Current Driver Licence.
• Australian Working Rights.
• Availability for weekend and active overnight shifts.
• Ability to follow Behaviour Support Plans and support procedures.

Responsibilities

• Participate in safe and enjoyable respite stays.
• Complete personal care routines with dignity and respect.
• Engage in meaningful in-home activities.
• Follow clear and consistent routines.
• Develop independence through appropriate support and encouragement.
• Receive medication support in line with training and support plans.
• Feel safe and supported during active overnight stays.
• Maintain choice, comfort and wellbeing.
