Job summary

Northern Coalfields Community Care Association Limited (NCCCA) is seeking part-time and casual Community Care Employees to support elderly clients in the community. You will provide personal care, domestic duties, transport, shopping and respite while promoting independence and quality of life.

Requirements include a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent, a current First Aid Certificate, a valid driver license with a reliable car, and a police check suitable for aged care.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Work availability for at least three days a week.
• Ability to work cooperatively with consumers, families and co-workers.
• A genuine interest in helping the elderly.
• Ability to follow a set task list or care plan for each consumer.
• Capacity to perform home care tasks safely under guidelines.
• Knowledge of WHS procedures and safe work practices.
• Understanding of professional boundaries with clients.
• Current driver licence with registered, insured and reliable car.
• Physical fitness to fulfil the role.
• Evidence of 2023 Influenza and Covid-19 vaccinations (3 doses).
• Police Check suitable for aged care.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to elderly consumers in the community.
