Job summary
Uniting NSW.ACT is seeking caring individuals to join our Waverley aged care home in Sydney, providing care, companionship and emotional support to residents to help maintain independence and improve quality of life. You will assist with daily living tasks, support activities, and contribute to a warm, inclusive team that values compassion, respect and collaboration.
This role offers a supportive work environment, options for salary packaging through the NFP program, and opportunities to grow
Qualifications
- Ideally, you’ll hold a Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or Individual Support.
- Experience in aged or community care, or a passion to start a career in aged care.
- Adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, aligned with Uniting's values.
Responsibilities
- Provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents to support independence and quality of life.
- Assist with daily living tasks such as showering, hygiene, dressing, mealtimes and mobility.
- Assist with medication administration and simple wound dressings.
- Support residents in community-based recreational and social activities.
