Job summary

Uniting NSW & ACT invites compassionate carers to join our aged care team. You will provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents to enhance independence and quality of life.

You will assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing and meals, and support residents with mobility. Training supports medication assist and wound care, while encouraging participation in social activities.

Qualifications

• Relevant aged care experience or strong interest in starting a career in aged care.
• Demonstrated compassion and ability to support independence and dignity of residents.
• Ability to work in a team and handle caring responsibilities with sensitivity.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Assist with daily living activities including showering, hygiene, dressing and mobility.
• Assist with medications and simple wound dressings as trained.
• Support residents in community-based recreational and social activities.
