Job summary

Uniting Yamba is seeking a PPT Care Worker to provide compassionate, person-centred care in our aged care home. You will support residents to maintain independence and maximise their quality of life in a safe, nurturing environment.

Shift availability includes Morning, Afternoon and Night on a rotating roster with 5–7 days per week; flexibility is essential. We value empathy, patience and clear communication, and offer not-for-profit salary packaging and wellbeing programs to staff.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care/Individual Support (Ageing) or willingness to obtain.
• Previous experience in aged care or community care is desirable but not mandatory.
• Adaptable, empathetic and respectful, embracing Uniting's values.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents to improve independence and quality of life.
• Assist with daily living activities including showering, personal hygiene, dressing, and mealtimes.
• Assist with medication and simple wound dressings as needed.
• Support residents in community-based recreational and social activities.
