Job summary
Uniting AgeWell Geelong is seeking dedicated Personal Care Workers to provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents in our aged care community. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, follow care plans and support residents with dignified daily activities.
Permanent part-time, fixed-term part-time, and casual shifts are available across various schedules. Requirements include Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care), experience in residential aged care, excellent
Qualifications
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent.
- Experience in residential aged care/home care.
- Experience with dementia care and palliative care support (desired).
- Demonstrated abilities to support residents in a fast paced environment with exemplary communication skills.
- Committed to BEST values (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust).
Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality, person-centred care to residents and families, including cultural, spiritual and individual needs.
- Provide personal care to residents with complex needs (e.g., palliative care, dementia support).
- Support nursing staff with assessment, care planning, documentation and evaluation of outcomes.
- Monitor environment for safety and report issues promptly.
