Job summary

Uniting Yamba is seeking a PPT Household Dining Assistant to support our aged care home across Kitchen, Laundry and Cleaning Services. You will help prepare and serve meals, keep living and dining spaces clean, and assist with residents’ laundry while upholding dignity and wellbeing.

This permanent part-time role offers 30 hours per week over four shifts, Monday to Friday, with shifts from 6:30am to 7:30pm. Weekends may be available for interested candidates.

Qualifications

• Food safety supervisor certification is desirable (not mandatory).
• Experience in cleaning, catering, or laundry is a bonus.
• Previous experience in aged care is desirable.
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices and aged care dietary requirements is relevant.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and service across Kitchen, Cleaning and Laundry.
• Maintain clean, inviting living and dining spaces for residents.
• Assist residents with laundry and clothing care.
• Promote dignity, independence and wellbeing in daily activities.
