Job summary

IIQAF Group in Sydney is seeking a compassionate Aged Care Worker to provide high-quality personal care, daily living support, companionship and assistance to elderly residents. The role emphasizes dignity, independence and safety within a supportive healthcare team.

The successful candidate will follow individual care plans, assist with mobility and daily activities, and contribute to wellbeing and quality of life while adhering to workplace health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability) or equivalent.
• Certificate IV in Ageing Support or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and respectful aged care and personal care to elderly clients.
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and personal hygiene.
• Support mobility, transfers, walking, positioning and safe use of mobility aids.
• Assist with meals, hydration and monitoring dietary requirements.
• Provide companionship and emotional support while promoting independence.
• Follow care plans and adapt support to each client's needs and preferences.
• Encourage participation in activities that support wellbeing and quality of life.
• Respond to emergencies or changes in client condition and report promptly.
• Communicate professionally with clients, families, nurses and care team members.
• Follow health and safety procedures and safe manual handling practices.
• Participate in care team meetings, training and continuous improvement.
