Job summary

Anglicare Sydney is seeking a Carer to support residents with daily living activities, personal care, and companionship. You will help residents live with dignity and purpose in a nurturing environment, working with healthcare professionals to deliver person-centred care.

Requirements include Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent, 2 years’ experience preferred, and unrestricted work rights. Monday to Thursday AM shifts may be available; adherence to Australian Qualifications Framework is

Qualifications

Demonstrates compassion, patience and respectful care for older people.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Experience in aged care or similar setting preferred.
All qualifications must be recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
Unrestricted work rights are required.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance (showering, dressing, grooming, feeding).
Support mobility and physical assistance for residents.
Offer companionship and emotional support to residents.
Monitor and document residents' progress and preferences.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver person-centred care and maintain a positive environment.
