Job summary

Churches of Christ in Queensland's Bribie Island Aged Care is seeking a Personal Care Worker to support older Australians with daily living activities in AM shifts on a permanent part-time basis. You will provide compassionate personal care, assist with mobility and meals, support social activities, and maintain accurate records while protecting residents’ dignity and privacy.

A Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent, strong English communication, and a police clearance

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent.
• Experience providing direct care within an aged care environment.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
• Australian Work Rights (Sponsorship unavailable for this role).

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality personal care and emotional support to residents.
• Assist with daily living activities, mobility, meals and social activities.
• Complete accurate documentation and charting.
• Monitor residents' wellbeing and report changes to nursing staff.
• Maintain residents' dignity, privacy and confidentiality.
• Contribute to a safe, clean, comfortable and welcoming environment.
• Carry out tasks delegated by Registered and Enrolled Nurses.
• Work collaboratively with the care team.
