Job summary

Scalabrini Communities in Sydney is seeking two casual Carers for Chipping Norton Village. You will support residents with daily living, personal care, meals and companionship, under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, delivering person-centred care that respects each resident’s dignity and choices.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in aged care or community health setting.
• Understanding of dementia care and needs of older people.
• Knowledge of person-centred care and respect for dignity and choices.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living support respectfully.
• Assist residents with meals and feeding when required.
• Encourage participation in activities and independence.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families and team members.
• Contribute to a safe, welcoming care environment.
