Catholic Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Aged Care Assistant to support elderly clients at locations in NSW. You will assist with daily activities, provide companionship, help with meals and personal care, and collaborate with a clinical team to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in aged care or related field preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and patient nature.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• CPR and First Aid certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily activities including personal hygiene, dressing and grooming.
• Provide emotional support and companionship.
• Administer medications and monitor health conditions as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Assist with meal preparation and dietary needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment.
• Document changes in residents' conditions and report to staff.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and families on care plans.
• Participate in ongoing training and education.
