Job summary

Right at Home Central Queensland is expanding and looking for compassionate Companion Care Workers to support elderly clients in their own homes. You’ll help with daily living, meals, light household tasks and transport to appointments, while providing companionship and emotional support.

We value warmth, reliability, and a calm, supportive presence. Training is provided and a female candidate is preferred to meet client requirements.

Qualifications

• Preferably female due to client requirements.
• Driver’s licence with a reliable vehicle.
• Current car insurance (fully comprehensive) & registration.
• National Police Check within the last 12 months.
• First Aid & CPR certification.
• Blue Card (working with children/background check).

Responsibilities

• Enhance clients’ wellbeing by supporting daily living at home and in the community.
• Prepare meals and assist with light household tasks.
• Provide transport to medical appointments and social outings.
• Offer companionship, conversation and emotional support.
• Encourage independence and maintain lifestyle routines.
