Job summary

Right at Home Central Queensland is seeking a compassionate Companion Care Worker to support elderly clients in their homes across the Central Queensland region. You will contribute to comfort, independence and joy, enabling clients to live safely and with dignity in familiar surroundings.

This role offers meaningful, heart-led work with a local team, flexible rosters and opportunities for professional development through mentoring by experienced nurses and care managers.

Qualifications

• Experience in the field; training provided.
• Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
• Current car insurance and registration.
• National Police Check (within the last 12 months).
• First Aid & CPR.
• Blue Card.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities at home and in the community.
• Prepare meals and help with light household tasks.
• Provide transport to medical appointments & social outings.
• Offer companionship, conversation & emotional support.
• Encourage independence and maintain lifestyle routines.
