Bridges Care Services is seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to assist clients with community access, personal support and independent living in Wollongong and surrounding areas.

You will help clients engage in social activities, manage everyday tasks, and build skills while promoting inclusion and safety. A driver’s licence, First Aid/CPR, and relevant checks are required, with a willingness to learn and grow in the role.

• Bachelor's degree in community services, education, sociology, etc.
• 3 years relevant experience or willingness to learn.

Aufgaben

• Provide emotional support, companionship and transport.

• Identify challenges through client interviews and tailor support to meet individual needs.
• Engage families, welfare agencies, government organisations and private businesses to address community issues.
• Provide counselling and emotional support to help clients navigate personal difficulties.
• Prepare submissions for funding and resources, as well as reports for government bodies and other agencies.
