Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited is seeking caring individuals to support aged care clients at home around Coffs Harbour. You will travel between visits, performing household tasks, transport, meal prep and personal care as needed.

The role is casual/part-time, with shifts likely during weekdays 8am–5pm, and offers an hourly rate from 34.50 to 48.75 AUD plus superannuation and km reimbursement.

We are looking for passionate and caring individuals to make a difference in our Aged Care clients' lives by assisting them to live at home independently for as long as possible. You will be travelling around Coffs Harbour and will need to have some availability during weekdays Monday to Friday between 8am-5pm.(Preferably 3-5 days)

Your day-to-day role looks like

• General household tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, ironing, cleaning the bathroom & kitchen, changing beds and washing
• Transport to appointments and shopping
• Meal preparation
• Social Support or Respite for family/carers
• Personal care including assistance with showering and dressing (if qualified/fully trained)

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people
• Good communication skills
• A reliable team player
• Understanding of workplace health and safety
• An Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable insured motor vehicle (essential)
• Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent (not essential as you can complete this through our traineeship program)
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check
