Job summary

Catholic Healthcare in NSW is hiring caring individuals to support clients in their homes across Coffs Harbour and surrounds.

The casual role offers flexible days (minimum 3) with competitive hourly rates and km reimbursement, plus benefits for not-for-profit work. You will assist with daily tasks, transportation, meals, and personal care where trained.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent (not essential; traineeship available).
• Ability to perform household tasks and assist with daily living.
• Willingness to travel around Coffs Harbour and surrounding area.

Responsibilities

• General household tasks (vacuuming, cleaning, laundry).
• Transport to appointments and shopping.
• Meal preparation.
• Social support or respite for family/caregivers.
• Personal care assistance if trained.

We are looking for passionate and caring individuals to make a difference in our clients' lives by assisting them to live at home independently for as long as possible. You will be travelling around Coffs Harbour and surrounding area in a varied and rewarding role - no two days will be the same!

Day to day your role looks like

• General household tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, ironing, cleaning the bathroom & kitchen, changing beds and washing


• Transport to appointments and shopping


• Meal preparation


• Social Support or Respite for family/carers


• Personal care including assistance with showering and dressing (if qualified/fully trained)

To be successful in this role you’ll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly


• Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people


• Good communication skills


• A reliable team player


• Understanding of workplace health and safety


• An Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable insured motor vehicle (essential)


• Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent (not essential as you can complete this through our traineeship program)


• Willingness to apply for a Police Check
