Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited invites passionate carers to visit clients in their homes across the Sydney area. You will support daily tasks, travel between visits, prepare meals and provide social support or respite for families.

Permanent part-time or casual roles offer flexible hours and days, with a competitive hourly rate and km reimbursement. As a not-for-profit employer, you’ll contribute to meaningful care while accessing tax benefits and potential career growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in in-home care would be advantageous.
• Certificate 3 or 4 in Individual Support highly regarded (but not essential).
• A genuine passion for providing high quality care to older Australians.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence and access to a registered vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with day-to-day in-home tasks (cleaning, tidying, washing) per care plan.
• Provide transport to appointments and shopping.
• Meal preparation.
• Social support or respite for family carers.
• Personal care including showering and dressing (if qualified).

You will be travelling around where you live and surrounding suburbs in a varied and rewarding role - no two days will be the same!!

Day to day role looks like:

• Supporting and connecting with our clients assisting with day to day in home tasks - cleaning, tidying, washing and other tasks within the client's care plan
• Transport to appointments and shopping
• Meal preparation
• Social Support or Respite for family/carers
• Personal care including assistance with showering and dressing (if qualified/fully trained)

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

• A genuine passion for providing high quality care to the older Australian's in the community
• To be comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people
• To be a reliable team player
• To have an understanding of workplace health and safety
• Certificate 3 or 4 in Individual Support highly regarded (but not essential)
• An Australian driver's licence and access to a registered motor vehicle (essential)
