Job summary

Catholic Healthcare is seeking compassionate care workers to support older Australians at home around Dubbo and surrounding areas. You will travel between clients, delivering personalised day-to-day assistance in a varied, rewarding role with flexible permanent part-time or casual hours.

You'll help with in-home tasks, transport, meal prep, and personal care where trained, contributing to a supportive, non-profit community focused on dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Individual Support is highly regarded (not essential).
• Australian driver's licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
• Good communication and reliability in a team setting.
• Ability to interact with a diverse range of clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with day-to-day in-home tasks: cleaning, tidying, washing.
• Transport clients to appointments and shopping.
• Meal preparation for clients.
• Provide social support or respite for families.
• Assist with personal care if qualified.

We are looking for passionate and caring individuals to make a difference in our clients' lives by assisting them to live at home independently for as long as possible. You will be travelling around Dubbo and surrounding suburbs in a varied and rewarding role - no two days will be the same!!

Day To Day Role Looks Like

• Supporting and connecting with our clients assisting with day to day in home tasks - cleaning, tidying, washing and other tasks within the client's care plan
• Transport to appointments and shopping
• Meal preparation
• Social Support or Respite for family/carers
• Personal care including assistance with showering and dressing (if qualified/fully trained)

To Be Successful In This Role You’ll Need

• A genuine passion for providing high quality care to older Australian's in the community
• To be comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people
• Good communication skills
• To be a reliable team player
• To have an understanding of workplace health and safety
• Certificate 3 or 4 in Individual Support highly regarded (but not essential)
• An Australian driver's licence and access to a registered motor vehicle (essential)
