Institute for Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH) seeks a dedicated Home Care Aide to provide direct in-home care for eligible elderly Indigenous clients in the Sunshine Coast region. The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health Ltd was established by its founding members to provide a coordinated/integrated approach to the planning, development and delivery of comprehensive primary health care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations within the Southeast Qld Region.
The focus of IUIH Aged Care team is to work with the local Indigenous community and relevant key stakeholders to increase access to comprehensive care and provide well-coordinated, quality in home care services to eligible aged care clients.
About the Role?
The primary purpose of this position is to provide direct care to the eligible aged members of the community in their homes. The position provides assistance with tasks such as showering, toileting, dressing and shaving. This role also includes domestic assistance, social support, meal preparation and shopping. The role will be required to perform in accordance with Client Care plans, the Community Care Common Standards and the IUIH Policies and Procedures.
