Job summary

Simply Helping Northern Tasmania is seeking compassionate Support Workers to empower clients to live independently at home, safely and with dignity. You will deliver person-centred care and support into everyday activities.

Roles require Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent, current driver's license, First Aid/CPR, NDIS checks, and the ability to work both independently and in a team; flexible hours and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent (minimum requirement).
• Demonstrated compassion and ability to support clients to live independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Current Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Vulnerable People Registration (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care and support tailored to each client's needs and preferences.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene.
• Support meal planning and preparation.
• Facilitate community participation, including transportation to appointments, shopping, and social activities.
• Undertake domestic assistance duties such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, laundry, and general household tasks.
