Job summary

Just Better Care in your area is seeking Community Support Professionals to assist clients in daily living and lifestyle activities, traveling between homes, and providing personal and social support.

You will help with personal care, domestic tasks, and using assistive devices while monitoring wellbeing and reporting progress. Training and staff meetings are part of the role, ensuring care quality and safety for clients.

Qualifications

• Caring and compassionate approach to clients.
• Ability to assist with daily living activities.
• Experience or willingness to handle mobility aids and equipment.
• Sensitivity to complex needs and safe practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including showering, dressing, grooming, and medication assistance.
• Assist with domestic tasks: light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Provide social support and transportation to appointments.
• Assist with use of aids and equipment such as frames, hoists, or wheelchairs.
• Support customers with complex and/or challenging needs.
• Monitor wellbeing and report progress to supervisors.
• Attend staff meetings and required training.

• Duties and responsibilities may include: Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
• Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
• Social support/transportation: social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments
• Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment including: standing or walking frames, wheelchairs, manual or electric hoists, sliding sheets or moving boards, hearing aids and other physical aids
• Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs
• Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
• Participating in staff meetings and attending training as required
