Job summary

Optimum Health Solutions is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to visit NDIS participants in homes across Cessnock, the Hunter Valley and Maitland. You'll work independently in the community with a multidisciplinary team in support.

Responsibilities include wound care, catheter management, PEG feeding, medication administration and continence assessment, with a pathway to full-time as caseload grows.

Qualifications

• Must hold AHPRA Registered Nurse (Division 1) with no conditions.
• Minimum 3 years post-graduate nursing experience.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance, or willing to obtain.
• National Police Check, or willing to obtain.
• Working with Children Check (NSW), or willing to obtain.
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module completed before you start.
• Current CPR (HLTAID009) and First Aid (HLTAID011).
• Unrestricted Australian driver's licence, own vehicle and comprehensive insurance.
• Right to work in Australia.
• Willing to travel across the region.

Responsibilities

• Visit NDIS participants in their homes and communities across Cessnock and the Hunter Valley.
• Provide wound care and pressure injury management, catheter and PEG support, and medication administration.
• Build relationships with participants and families through repeat visits and ongoing care.
